Terms for mtRoot

These terms set clear expectations for families joining the mtRoot Foundation Cohort operated by mteen Wellness LLC.

Last updated July 10, 2026

Eligibility and consent

mtRoot is intended for teenagers ages 13-19. A parent or legal guardian must provide accurate contact information and consent before a minor's enrollment becomes active. The person completing payment confirms that they are authorized to do so.

Program and payment

The July 26, 2026 mtRoot cohort is an eight-week online program with 24 scheduled live sessions and self-directed Mitra practice. The launch price is a one-time payment of $250 USD. Enrollment is confirmed only after payment and guardian consent are both recorded.

Participation

  • Use private Zoom, dashboard, calendar, and WhatsApp links only for the enrolled participant and their guardian.
  • Join sessions respectfully and protect the privacy of other participants.
  • Do not record, photograph, or redistribute a session or another participant's words without explicit permission.
  • Tell the mteen team promptly if contact details change or participation is no longer appropriate.

Educational, not medical care

mtRoot provides mindfulness education and guided practice. It is not therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, or a substitute for medical or mental-health care. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.

Technology and schedule

Participants need reliable internet access and a device that can use Zoom and Mitra. Session times are based on America/New_York time and are also shown in the participant's selected timezone. mteen may make reasonable facilitator, link, or schedule changes and will communicate material changes to families.

Safety and conduct

mteen may pause or end participation when behavior threatens safety, privacy, or the learning environment. We will involve the guardian when appropriate. Any recording of a live session will be announced in advance and handled only with appropriate permission.

Cancellations and refunds

Refunds are governed by the published refund policy. If mteen cancels the cohort and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, affected families will receive a refund of the amount paid.
